One portion

1 min read

I was reading Laura Michet’s post One bowl and I was reminded of how I like to eat. I don’t say “how I eat” because I’m not going to sit here and lie to myself. How I eat varies based on multiple variables. But I digress.

I like to eat in one plate (or one bowl) and divide that plate like this:

Like I said, it’s not like I managed to have a routine, but I try to enforce this every time I think of eating. Thinking of eating is not the same as being hungry. But I digress again.

Eating in portions or one single dish that can’t be refilled makes you eat better. Because you may get to eat less, and that’s always healthier in the current state of society.

I know people who like to fill a table with abundant food, and you serve how much you want. Now, how much you want really depends on your state of mind, and having extreme availability doesn’t help to be mindful about it.

So yeah, I think I prefer to be mind-ful than just -full.
