Outlining my procrastination

I need to get my life priorities in order. For me, that means a list, one thing below the other. The one at the top is the one that needs to be done or thought or whatever first.

I’ve been trying the OBTF (One Big Text File) approach for a month now. I started jotting stuff in Apple Notes and today I scrolled down to see and yeah, it’s been a month. Good trial period I think.

This month was really special so I took a lot of notes. And in doing so, I noticed I naturally made relationships not with individual pages (would defeat OBTF purpose) or links but with indentation.

Granted, this mental approach comes from my days of Roam Research (back when it was free and the only one). In short, you do something like this:

Pretty simple, right? Well yes, and let me say quite powerful as well. I forgot how powerful, but I was reminded by myself, trying to organize my life, how this approach works wonders for me.

So anyways, since a month went by, I was ready to finally give Zavala a shot, even justifying myself that it wasn’t procrastination, that I was ready for the next step for my outlining.

Turns out I’m running MacOS Sequoia because I didn’t want to go liquid glass all my stuff and that makes my Mac not compatible with Zavala. I tried to find previous versions but I couldn’t.

I didn’t want the cognitive load of having to think if I’m ready for liquid Tahoe so I guess Zavala will have to wait and I will have to stop procrastinating because I really need to.

Also, this is why we can’t have nice things :,)
